Electoral Commission of SA (ECSA)
In 1907 the then State Electoral Department was established to administer all South Australian parliamentary elections. Since that time more than 120 parliamentary elections, by-elections and referendums have been conducted by this Office.
The Electoral Commission of SA has a legislative obligation to encourage community participation and promote an awareness of electoral matters. This is achieved by dissemination of information through the use of print media, the Internet, television and radio.
